Solar System Updates

Lets us first know basics of our solar system. Our Solar system is made up of The Sun ,Eight planet including our earth , around 150 of their moons ,several dwarf planets like pluto and a bunch of asteroids ,comets and space rocks, ice etc.Moons orbits around planet.Planets ,asteroids and Comets travel around our Sun in an Ellipse .But today we will be mainly focusing upon facts and latest updates related to all the eight planets of our Solar system .We will also be knowing about a special and recently discovered earth sized planet ,not from our solar system of course.

Mercury

On landing at Mercury it’s exactly like our moon but we couldn’t land here because its temperature during the daytime is 430 Celsius and in the dark it falls to -180 Celsius. tons was known about the earth Mercury through Mariner 10 but this data wasn’t enough to succeed in Mercury. For this reason on 3rd August 2004 a spaceship called “Messenger” was launched. This was the primary mission to send Mercury to the earth . On 18 March 2011, the Messenger spacecraft successfully landed on the earth Mercury and by 2012, its purpose was fulfilled. Then on 30 April 2015, this mission collapsed with Mercury and therefore the mission was ended. With the assistance of Messenger Space Ship, we got information about 90% parts of Mercury. In this mission, Some information was received which made scientists literally shocked. NASA came to understand that the core of Mercury is far larger than its size, it had been a weird thing because such a little planet couldn’t have such an outsized core. That’s why scientists speculated that Mercury planet would be a really big planet first, but thanks to collision with another body, most of it might are destroyed. On 20 Oct 2018, ESA (European Space Agency) and Jaxa (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) teamed up for the spacecraft named “Bepi Colombio” to Mercury. This space craft will reach Mercury planet by 2025 and can start its work and more information are going to be received about it.

Venus

Scientists trying to find life on other planets have gotten a mark of success after while on mars. They found signs of life on the clouds of the earth Venus. Actually, a gas named Phosphine has been found within the clouds there. This gas, made up of the blending of phosphorus and hydrogen, is additionally found on earth, such gas is extremely important for the bacteria living within the intestines of penguins. within the same way, this phosphine gas is found in marshy areas. it’s being speculated that life on Venus also can happen.Due to its temperature, it’s called the most well liked planet in our system . Venus’ atmosphere is predominantly crammed with CO2 . the warmth of the sun enters it but cannot escape. during this way it takes the shape of a furnace. it’s such a hot planet that we cannot send any human mission thereon .At present, we don’t even have any special technology through which we will remove any probes on the surface of this planet. By the way, the US space agency NASA is functioning on two plans for the earth Venus, in order that it can get maximum information. NASA has named these plans DAVINCI and VERITAS.

Earth

Earth’s gravity interacts with other objects in space, especially the Sun and therefore the Moon, which is Earth’s only natural satellite. Earth orbits round the Sun in about 365.25 days. Earth’s axis of rotation is tilted with reference to its plane , producing seasons on Earth. The interaction between Earth and therefore the Moon causes tides, stabilizes Earth’s orientation on its axis, and gradually slows its rotation. Earth is that the densest planet within the system and therefore the largest and most massive of the four rocky planets. Daily Many researchers are being done associated with earth’s concern be it heating or water related concern .

Mars

NASA’s InSight, a robotic lander launched by NASA, has probably recorded an ‘earthquake’ on Mars for the primary time. The US space agency gave this information. Lander’s seismometer called ‘Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure’ (SEIS) detected weak seismic signals on 6 April. On 6 April 2019, ‘Insight’ was the 128th day on Mars.Currently Mars has three orbiting spacecraft Mars Odyssey, Mars Express and Reconnaissance Mars Orbiter, quite the other planet within the system except Earth. On Mars, there are two exploration rovers (Spirit and Opportunity), Lander Phoenix, also as several passive rovers and landers that have either failed or completed their mission. The discoveries by NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor have found evidence that the southern polar icy peaks are decreasing. NASA has sent the Perverence Rover to Mars in 2020, with Insight looking forward to the primary miniaturized flight of the aircraft, which is predicted to succeed in Mars in early 2021.

Here it is ,Pi

A new earthed sized planet discovered .Researchers have discovered a replacement Earth-sized planet. It’s orbiting a dim red star some 185 light-years away. The planet’s official name is K2-315b. But its nickname is “Pi Earth.” The reason: It orbits its star every 3.14 days. That orbit reminded astronomers of the real number pi, written because the Greek letter π. An real number is one that can’t be written as a fraction or a ratio. and therefore the first three digits of pi are 3.14.The researchers discovered the new planet while rummaging through data from NASA’s K2 Mission, which led to October 2018. The researchers estimate that K2-315b features a radius of 0.95 that of Earth’s, making it almost Earth-sized. It orbits a cool, low-mass star that’s about one-fifth the dimensions of the sun. the earth circles its star every 3.14 days, at a blistering 81 kilometers per second, or about 181,000 miles per hour. While its mass is yet to be determined, scientists suspect that K2-315b is terrestrial, just like the Earth. But the pi planet is probably going not habitable, as its tight orbit brings the earth close enough to its star to heat its surface up to 450 kelvins, or around 350 degrees Fahrenheit — perfect, because it seems , for baking actual pie.

Jupiter

The existence of Jupiter’s cosmic ‘Great Red Spot’, which may be a massive storm, has been known since the 17th century when it had been first seen with a telescope. the earth is surrounded by a strong magnetic flux and a misty planetary ring system. Jupiter has a minimum of 79 (as of 2018) moons. These include the four largest moons referred to as the Galilean moons which were first discovered by Galileo in 1810. Ganymede is that the largest moon whose diameter is bigger than the earth Mercury. Jupiter has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, particularly during the primary Pioneer and Voyager missions and later by the Galileo spacecraft. In February 2007, the New Horazenz was the last spacecraft to visit Jupiter, including Pluto. The speed of this vehicle was increased using the gravity of Jupiter. Possibly subsequent targets for future exploration of this outer planetary system include the ice-covered liquid ocean on the Europa Moon.
People across India and therefore the remainder of the planet witnessed a rare celestial phenomenon, the good conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter. The celestial event made Jupiter and Saturn appear together bright star within the night sky. The event is visible to the eye also , though those with a telescope would have enjoyed a far better view.

Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn

This is the primary time in over 400 years that the 2 appeared so on the brink of one another , though regular conjunctions happen every 20 years. this is often the closest these two planets are recorded since 1623. That Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn happened quite a decade after the telescope was invented. Before 1623, the good Conjunction happened in 1226.The “great conjunction” is popularly mentioned because the “Christmas Star.” On December 21, most the viewers across the planet were ready to see the 2 gas giants very on the brink of one another , while they were still many many miles apart in space.

SolarSystemUpdates

Saturn

The rotation direction of Saturn is from west to east, that is, the rotation direction of Saturn is analogous thereto of Earth. The rings (rings) around Saturn Planet are very thin and their number is 7, they will be easily seen with the assistance of Telescope. On Saturn, the winds move at a speed of 1800 km per hour (5 times faster than the winds on Earth). The Cassini probe was launched by NASA on 15 October 1997. This mission ended on 15 September 2017. Cassini revolved around Saturn and its moons and studied it.Because of its ring pattern , it’s often considered as most engaging planet .Yet lot to be discovered with regards to the present attractive looking planet .

SolarSystemUpdates

Uranus

Uranus is that the seventh planet from the Sun in our system . it’s the third largest planet within the system by diameter and therefore the fourth largest planet by mass. It is 18.5 times heavier than the world in mass and 63 times bigger than the world in shape. on the average , it’s much less dense than the world – because stones and other heavy materials are in greater percentage on Earth, while Uranus has more gas. that’s why it’s only four and a half to 14 times heavier than the world , despite having a size of three to 3 times larger than the world .In 1986, NASA’s Voyager 2 interplanetary probe encountered Uranus. This flyby remains the sole investigation of Uranus administered from a brief distance and no other visits are planned. Launched in 1977, Voyager 2 made its closest approach to Uranus on 24 January 1986, coming within 81,500 km of the cloud tops, before continuing its journey to Neptune. The spacecraft studied the structure and chemical composition of Uranus’s atmosphere, including its unique weather, caused by its axial tilt of 97.77°. It made the primary detailed investigations of its five largest moons and discovered 10 new ones. It examined all nine of the system’s known rings and discovered two more.It also studied the magnetic flux , its irregular structure, its tilt and its unique corkscrew magnetotail caused by Uranus’s sideways orientation.

SolarSystemUpdates

Neptune

Neptune is that the eighth planet from the Sun and therefore the last of the known planets. While it’s the third largest planet with reference to mass, it’s only the fourth largest in terms of diameter. thanks to its blue color, the earth Varuna (Neptune) was named after the Roman god of the ocean .Neptune was invented by Jean Joseph Le Verrier. it had been unknown to ancient people. thanks to the acute distance from Earth, the sky can’t be seen with the eye and was first seen in 1846. Its position decided using mathematical predictions. In 1989, NASA’s Voyager 2 became the primary and only spacecraft to review Neptune closely. Voyager 2 returned tons of data about Neptune and its moons. Scientists also use the Hubble Space Telescope and powerful ground-based telescopes to collect more information about this distant planet.
